Say NO to OHNO

20/30
Day 19
Update:

It is amazing that Pastor Larry's "Side By Side" book keeps coming up on this journey!

Yesterday morning I opened my laptop as always to do my blog and post some photos and a video clip. However, instead of the nice friendly blue screen welcoming me to Windows, I was facing a black screen asking me to "Insert boot disk ..REBOOT".
Last night I took it to the Geeks at Office Depot. They gave me no hope.
"Find the master boot disk." was all they could say. If I have it after 4 years in which I moved 3 times it would be a genuine miracle. To send to e machines for one takes a month. I have less than 2 weeks on my journey.
Should I give up and just go home? Was this a message for me to quit? Was this an affirmation that the journey was foolish in the first place as some people told me?

Doubt!
Doubt!
Doubt!

I opened my daughter Natalie's refrigerator to get some orange juice at 5:15 Am this morning. There in a little square frame was this message from Marilyn vos Savant:
"Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent!"

Then I read day twenty-seven of "Side By Side". The Pastor's challenge was a "right in your face" challenge. "Have I been distracted from the ministry God called me to accomplish?"
Next I recalled our recent daily readings PSALM 109 a Song of Victory and Triumph.
Then 2 Corinthians 12:10 "...For when I am weak then, I am strong"

"OH NO!" I answered.

So I go on, and look for library PCs or airport kiosks. I will finish.

I am sending this out on my daughter, Natalie's, PC.

My oldest daughter, Jennifer is on the way to take me to lunch and then to the airport for my next stop: Portland, OR.

To MOSCOW, Russia from Kaunas, Lithuania

Hi fellow travlers. I'm headed to Moscow by bus on Friday

I will give you some updates and photos. This is a different

route than most people view. First off I am living in Kaunas, Lithuania. Right in the center of

the conrtry. From here I will travel to Riga, Latvia . This is nice country and a trip I have made before in 2008. The roads here are very good, although this time of year they are covered in snow. However they are well maintained -interstate 4 lane divided highways and they keep them clear of large snow build up.

The scenes are very spectacular to watch as the sun bonces off the ice covered tree branches. Even travel in the local area is beautiful.

The winter has placed a sparkling sheet of ice on everything and the trees are like frozen in time and the branches provide a many facated reflection and refraction of the sun making them look like a forest of Diamonds,

I will keep you upedated on my progress. Travel from here to Moscow, Russia goes throgh Latvia and a little part in Estonia and then through a rarely seen countryside portion of Rssia west of Moscow..

I will post plenty of photos. This is a 15 hour bus trip on ECOLINES: Europos Aurobusu Linijos.

I'll have More for you as I get on the road. Wait till you see the lunch I packed. Though [ US bus travelers wont believe this] they serve dinner and breakfast in the bus and there is a clean restroom on board. Seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room and large windows, They even have monitors and sometimes show movies. Eat your hearts out Trailways and Grayhound travelers. In USA luggage on a bus gets a better ride than the passenger and it is handled better.

Heading for the Wild Blue Yonder

I got this crazy idea to fly. I always wanted to fly. Dreamed of just putting my arms out and soaring through the sky.
I actually did have a long series of dreams about this fantasy.
I finally got my private license and flew happily for many years.

Not unusual though, because as a boy I would sit on the edge of Echelon Field and watch
the small planes come and go like so many birds.

I lived in a small town in Somerdale, New Jersey. Echelon was a bike ride away. the Aircraft were all magic birds to me, and so I'd sit and dream of being in one, and leaving my bike along the grass strip.

Jet Blue brought the magic back. I saw the ad on Yahoo. Flat price for an unlimited 30 day pass. September 8th 2009 thru October 8th 2009.

I looked at the Jet Blue route map. There were a lot of places I had not been, and some I had been to just for business. I am retired, and I cant work due to a Stroke. However, I can still fly.

I got right to work mapping out where I'd like to go. I called some friends and told them to look for my blog. I called some people I know in cities I booked. I looked up all the local TV stations in each city and I plan on sending them an e-mail.

"Hey do you want an exclusive on an old guy who is going to go to 20 cities on Jet Blue Airways within 30 days??" I asked. "If so, here's my schedule. Meet me at the airport and I'll get your photo and share my story."

I have asked friends from all over to track me on this blog. All postings are open.
I will post details of each day's progress. I will post photos of the places I visit and the people I see. Best of all I will be sharing my story with all who wish to hear it. I will tell anyone how my spirit has been set free by the truth. I will introduce them to my friend Jesus who by His grace gave me a new life.

There are about 20 [twenty] cities I listed. I may get to do more if Jet Blue can help with bookings that were closed. I'll ride on the wing or luggage if they can get me on. I could not yet get Santo Domingo or Santiago, but I'll try while on the way.

Thanks to all those who are supporting me. Pleas remember that is important to post comments or ideas on this site. I will check every time I land.

Job 39:26 "Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south?
